    Poetry Of Fashionista

I remember the exact day I feel in love with fashion I was 10 years old, It was 1997 I was sitting in my 5thgrade class… George Moorehead He was the he was not the straightest carrot in the bunch if you know what I mean and he was ten years old, he was worse than my best friend at the time but I digress, we were having a discussion about Spice Girls and we ended up talking about fashion and how he was going to be a fashion designer and I said “I can do that to” the beat was made and that was the beginning.

That was the day I truly fell in love with Fashion. Little did I know within that year I would start to be more attracted to fashion, I would start doing my first sketches after pageants redesigning my first designs sitting down and coming up with my first ideas for fashion and loving it

Then a few years a later I would be in high school and I was asked what do you want your major to be and I saw on the sheet and I immediately knew “Fashion”

Little did I know at the time how much fashion would become a part of my life.

Fashion was young and Naïve and flowing silky confusingly patterned and sometimes as complex and as simple as I was. As I grew up Fashion grew with me like a cloak even when at times I wouldn’t except it for my clunky jeans and baggy sweater it was still there for me, wrapping me in the finest fashion at least in my mind it was an escape I could wrap up in its silky velveteen and comfy contentness and my lifeless non-stylish bags of unstylish consequence could not find me.

I lived a breathed fashion, and fashion felt me back and I know everyone that loves trends faded glitter glam feeling of it against your skin and the opening of the  of the mind to whatever confidence fashion can make you become YOU and I know every Fashionista feels same way I do.

Just when you think you feel out of loving fashion  you see that outfit in the window all the glory curves and fitted shape drawing you eye to why you fell in love in the first place

I always thought and believed one day I would outgrow my relationship with the tawdry love affair with fashion and it’s trends it’s silk and velveteen laden caresses

I never though it as a trend a fade that faded in on season and “Out” the next

I never thought it could grow and come so much a part of me like the air that I breathe that it could gain my popularity and mature to be a star, In my own little Fashion world.

I thought I could give it up and it would be a distant memory of my adolescents teenage dream. Fashion would be like your first crush on your first Louie Vuitton bag or hot leopard print shoe, then I realized that fashion and I have more than that , I’m Incomplete without it and it’s much more incomplete without me, I’m much more with it then I ever will be without it.

Fashion is always a part of my history, it is more than a friend, deeper than a lovers kiss, we listen, we listen to each other’s needs. Laugh at the in trends and outgoing fades. We finish each other’s thoughts. I will never have to pretend with fashion and fashion never has to worry about me.

My feeling of admiration for fashion has never been more clear then they were the day I realized. I’m a part of Fashion and it’s always a part of me. That is why I’m here because I can never do without it weather I’m sewing a new outfit new bag painting a shirt or expressing my feeling we can’t do without each other and we’ll be here till the end of time
